Beijing Nightlife
- Wangfujing Street

After 6 pm, many streets in Beijing quickly turn into such lively night markets, especially around Wangfujing Street where you can eat and drink the evening away at countless nice food stalls. You might like to try their various local specialities that range from small birds to fried insects. Yummy!
- Acrobats

When in Beijing, you have to check out the Acrobatic Troupes as they are really fun to watch. The ticket is pretty affordable, just a couple of quid, so just ask your hotel staff or tourist officer for the schedule and prices. You will absolutely love it!
- Peking Opera

This is another night venue which should never be missed. The Peking Opera is world famous and you normally get to learn a historical episode or a Chinese legend. One of the favourites is the Monkey King, with colourful makeup, bright costume and exaggerated body gestures. In addition, there is individual opera, base singing by talented performers that usually get hearty audience response.
- Houhai Lake Area

There are various bars and restaurants lining the shores of the Houhai Lake. The whole thing is beautifully decorated and there is fantastic music with a dance floor. All in all, it’s a good spot if you like watching and taking a stroll. Try and look for the big dragon-shaped spot light illuminated on the pavement and you will find it.
- Club Havana

This is a Cuban style restaurant with the live band and more importantly dance at weekend nights. It opens from 11pm at night till 4am in the morning, with brilliant music and you’re likely to meet interesting people from many countries. You can sit inside the restaurant or alternatively outside, though that means loads of mosquitoes and those kids forcing you to buy flowers for any girl sat next to you. Anyway, it’s a nice place to chill out and have a break.
